Information for our guests – Internet connection at the Alpenhotel Ammerwald.

Dear guests,

Our Alpenhotel Ammerwald is located in the middle of the impressive mountains of Tyrol - nestled in a nature reserve between the Plansee and the peaks of the Ammergau Alps.

This unique location not only brings peace and originality, but also presents us with special challenges in terms of technical connections.

Currently, our internet connection is provided via a radio link from the Zugspitze.

In the event of unfavourable weather, there may therefore occasionally be restrictions or short-term cancellations.

Together with the A1, we are already working on a permanent solution: an elaborate infrastructure project is currently being built in which a fibre optic cable is being laid under the Plansee.

Completion is expected by the end of 2026.

Until then, we ask for your understanding and acknowledgement if the internet connection is temporarily impaired.

Our new parking barrier.

Our car park has a gate so that there is always plenty of parking space available for our hotel and restaurant guests.

For out external guests we offer the opportunity to park with us, we estimate the usual local parking fee of 6.00€.

This is how you rent your bicycle from now on.

In the coming season, Alpenhotel Ammerwald isn’t going to provide bicycles and e-bicycles anymore. In the future, you can rent your bicycle from the following provider:
